The first post is always the hardest.

When we commited ourselves to this project, we knew that we had to document everything we were doing. That is why this site has come into existence. To show the community and the world, that it's time to reclaim these empty spaces. To show that we should not just be wasteful and let good empty space go unused.

Some of our first ventures into the house we snapped some pictures of their current condition. The house on the right is in a more livable condition then the one on the left. Our work will begin there and in the yard.

After sometime we decided that the house on the right and the house on the left were not proper names for these houses...

Seeing that the house on the right, has a room with 7 doors we decided to call it the 'Portal'. The house to the left, well with it's old iron spiral staircase, the vines that are encroaching upon the back side of the house on the left with tenacity and have begun to over take the rear rooms, busting through the windows. We decided to dub it the 'Secret Garden'.

So we give to you, the community "Portal & Secret Garden"



As more work is done in these house, more pictures will be taken, as well as videos and whatever else.

For now, this is where it starts.
